SLIPKNOTの元ドラマー Joey Jordisonが逝去

SLIPKNOTの結成メンバーで元ドラマーのJoey Jordisonが亡くなったことが明らかになった。享年46。
　
Joeyの家族は、以下の声明を発表している。"多作なドラマー、ミュージシャン、アーティストであるJoey Jordisonが、2021年7月26日に安らかに眠りについたまま逝ってしまったというニュースを共有することになり、心を痛めています。彼は46歳でした。Joeyの死は、私たちの心を空っぽにし、筆舌に尽くしがたい悲しみをもたらしました。Joeyを知っている人たちは、彼の素早いウィット、穏やかな性格、大きな心、そして家族と音楽のすべてに対する愛を理解していました。Joeyの家族は、友人、ファン、メディアに対し、この信じられないほど困難な時期に、私たちがプライバシーと平和を必要としていることを尊重してくれるよう求めています。家族はプライベートな葬儀を行う予定で、メディアや一般の方々には彼らの意思を尊重していただきたいと考えています。"
　
Joeyは1995年の結成から2013年の脱退まで、SLIPKNOTのドラマー／#1として活動。その激しいプレイ・スタイルは多くのミュージシャンに影響を与えた。またJoeyは他にもMURDERDOLLS、VIMIC、SCAR THE MARTYR、SINSAENUMなどのプロジェクトでも活動した。
