みんなのアニキ、Andrew W.K.がメッセージ「2003年のツアーで仙台に行ったときのことを今でも覚えてる。皆に祈りを捧げながら、愛と力と勇気をここから送るよ。」
2003年のツアーでは仙台公演も行い、日本での人気も高い皆のアニキ、Andrew W.K.が長文のメッセージを日本に向けて寄せている。
メッセージは以下の通り。
親友たちへ
地震や津波のニュースを見て、記事も読んだ。皆のことを一日中考えながら、皆を勇気付けられるように出来る限りの愛とパワーを送ってるつもりだ。2003年のツアーで仙台に行ったときのことを今でも覚えてる。素晴らしい土地で素晴らしい時間を過ごした。美しい土地で、そこに居るみんなも素晴らしい友人達だった。亡くなった方々、そしてこの災害により多くの人が受けた被害のことを思うととても悲しい。皆に祈りを捧げながら、愛と力と勇気をここから送るよ。

To my dearest friends:
I have been seeing the news and reading the reports about the earthquake and tsunami and am overwhelmed. I just want to tell you that I'm thinking of you all day and sending as much love and power and strength to you as I can. I remember when we first went to visit Sendai on our 2003 tour. We had such a wonderful time there - beautiful land and friends all around. I am so sad for all the loss of life and all the damage that this disaster has caused so many people. I am saying prayers and sending thoughts of love, strength, and courage.
